Students of Liverpool Association of Guides and Scouts
Since February Rally the club has had many challenges, mainly in the form of the Liverpool SSAGO Ball. Luckily things went well and we’d like to thank all who supported us and we hope you had a great night. Stanette certainly had an eventful time!
Since then the club has been recovering with a series of entertaining activities such as being shush-ed at bingo, being creative with crafts, a very amusing poker night, card games galore, picnics in the park (well it would have been if it hadn’t rained) and ditto with a trip to the beach.
Our AGM went successfully although we have had to re-arrange our job roles due to a large amount of people graduating this year. Our club will be small at the start the next academic year but we hope to continue by gaining more members and expanding our activities.

Were you a SSAGO member?? If so, read on ….
In 2007, Scouting will be 100 years old and the Student Scout and Guide Organisation (SSAGO) is 40 years old.
Although it is SSAGOs birthday in February, we are keen to hear from members who were involved prior to 1967 or subsequently in independent Student Scout and Guide Clubs.
SSAGO has always liked having a good time, and 2007 will be no different. A special reunion rally is planned for early July, which promises to be the best summer rally ever!!! Other events including a formal ball are currently being finalised. Even if you have no interest in coming along to a rally or other event, we are still keen to find out more about SSAGOs past.
If you wish to find out more information about SSAGO 2007, please email ssago2007event@googlemail.com . It would help if you could give the following information, name, involvement in SSAGO (which club you were in club, a rough guess at the years you were involved), a contact email or/and postal address, what you are doing now and how you would like to be involved.
Yours in Scouting and Guiding

Wherever you write about your perspective of this rally please try to include a link to this post so that that a link is shown beneath so others can find and read about your experiences.
Since the last rally, SLIC had a Christmas meal with GLMW. This went done well and a great time was had by all. SLIC is slowly building up, but at the moment we are having problems as we are confined to only one part of London, but at the moment James Knights is sorting this out and hopefully over the next year we will increase.
The SLIC Website has been improved a lot since the first version that was made over a year ago. It is looking more professional mainly due to the advance in skills that have been achieved. For this the Feb rally, SLIC has its biggest turnout ever. This shows that we are gradually getting bigger and are planning to take over the world.
